Shoving Off

I take a weird sense of satisfaction in a trip well packed-for.

Itinerary:

Drinks tomorrow with Amatourist in San Antonio, then work.

Fly to Denver Friday

Fish the South Platte Saturday

Ski A-Basin Sunday then See Great Big Sea play in Vail

Work Monday

Home Tuesday

Not bad.

Fly rod, net, and good times inside.

I love packing lists.

Mostly BGM originals in here save for the bee and the deer hair hopper which I haven't yet the patience to tie

Got wet this past weekend so had to dry my dries using the girl's blowdrying apparatus.

Loading up new topo.

Cabela's

Completely ridiculous, but in the best kind of way. Saw some real gems while we were in their Hamburg, PA superstore on the way back from a camping trip to the Delaware Water Gap. Also home to the world's most intense Park Policeman.

AeroPress

It looks like something from high-school science class, but in reality it is an insanely easy, effective way to make great coffee fast. I have a bodum French press at home that I've had for probably 10 years, but at the office where such things are bureaucratically disallowed, I use the AeroPress to make my daily brew. 4 bucks for a crappy, burnt urn of "Starbucks" from the cafeteria just doesn't cut it sometimes.

I've been meaning to put up a best of Yosemite post soon, and I will. All 7 of our readers will just have to be patient.
